With your English speaking guide walk through the 1.2km-long Siq to reach the city of Petra, passing the remains of Nabataean shrines, water channels, wall carvings and some of the original paving stones. See the magnificent Treasury as you exit the Siq,explore the Street of Facades, the Theatre, Royal Tombs, Colonnaded Street, Byzantine Church, Winged Lion’s Temple, Qasr al Bint, and the Petra Museum. Return to the town of Wadi Musa near the entrance gates for lunch at a local restaurant. Then drive to Wadi Rum, a protected area covering 720km2 of dramatic desert wilderness in the south of Jordan. Climb into the back of a 4WD jeep for a 2 hour tour across vast tracts of sand, through narrow canyons between majestic mountains. See ancient Nabataean rock inscriptions and huge red sand dunes. Hotel Rating in Egypt:
Kindly note that the hotel rating in Egypt is not the same as in USA or Europe, so 5* hotels are always recommended. The 3* & 4 * hotels aren’t recommended as we receive complaints from our guests about them.
Overnight Sleeping Trains:
We don’t recommend it, it takes 15 to 18 hours on a very crowded train. The toilets are not clean enough and smelly. Food is not good in general. The beds are not that comfortable. Comment from a client: “However, I am 6’0″ (183 cm) tall and barely fit into the bed — anyone taller would have to curl up.”
We recommend upgrading your reservation to a domestic flight.
